We have a range of classes for age 2 upwards, including adults and Silver Swans. Dance really is for everyone!

Ages 2-5 years

Young children are introduced to music and moving to music in a fun way. We use different types of music and different props to stimulate creativity and instill a love of dancing. We use lots of imagination develop the large motor skills of running, walking, turning, jumping and skipping as well as starting to develop fine motor skills of the hands, legs and feet.

Pre-school and Pre-Primary (Reception and Yr 1) classes include tap and ballet.

Pre-school dance: Saturday 9.00-9.45am or 9.45-10.30am (£8 per class)

Pre-school acro: Saturday 10.30-11.00am (£7per class)

Reception dance: Tuesday 3.45-4.45pm or Saturday 10.30-11.30am (£9)

Reception & Year 1 acro: Saturday 10.00-10.30am (£7)

Ages 6-10 years

Once children are old enough to start school, their classes become more structured and we begin to work towards the examination specifications of the Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (I.S.T.D). The emphasis is still firmly on fostering artistry, developing motor skills and laying the foundations of good dance technique whilst having fun.

Children can take examinations when they are ready. This is always at the discretion of the teacher, who will only enter children for examinations when they are completely ready.

Classes are held in ballet, tap, modern and acrobatic dance on Saturdays and during the week. Please contact us to find the most appropriate times/days for your child.

Age 11 + years

Secondary school age pupils can attend more classes if they wish! We have a wide range of ballet, jazz, tap, modern, acro, contemporary and street dance classes during the week. Please ask for details!

Adults

Dance is for adults too! We offer beginner and advanced classes for adults in tap and ballet, and Silver Swans classes for age 55+

Adult Tap (beginner):

Monday 7.00-7.45pm (£8 a class)

Adult Tap (advanced):

Monday 7.45-8.30pm (£8 a class)

Adult Ballet (beginner):

Tuesday 6.15-7.15pm (£9 a class)

Adult pointe / demi-pointe work:

Tuesday 7.15 - 7.45pm (£7 a class)

Adult Ballet (advanced):

Tuesday 7.45-8.45pm (£9 a class)

Silver Swans

Specially designed for older learners, Silver Swans® ballet classes will help improve your mobility, posture, co-ordination and energy levels.

Ballet and dance are also very social activities and Silver Swans classes can be great places to meet new people with a passion and joy for life.

All Silver Swans classes are tailored to the dancers in the class so they can be adapted for anyone - including you!

Mondays: 2:00pm

Thursdays: 2.30pm
